    Het is niet nodig een Lithium-ion accu leeg te laten lopen om vervolgens weer helemaal op te laden. Door de moderne chipsets die aan boord van de batteryplus accu zitten, schakelt de accu de laptop vanzelf uit als deze bijna leeg is. De lithium-ion accu hoeft dus geen 'geheugen' op te bouwen, zoals dat met de oudere Ni-Cad accu's wel het geval was. Dit betekent dat u niet hoeft te wachten tot de accu leeg is, maar deze gewoon op kunt laden wanneer u dat wilt. De accu zal daar niet sneller door slijten. Het is aan te raden de accu niet voor langere periodes leeg te laten maar deze af en toe op te laden. Indien u de accu voor langere tijd niet gebruikt, dan kunt u de accu bij voorkeur voor 40% opladen en niet voor 100%.
